Nyein works as Geospatial Data Scientist in SERVIR-Mekong program at Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC). She has received Master of Engineering in computer science from Waseda University (Japan) and Bachelor of Engineering from University of Technology (Yatanarpon Cyber City), Myanmar. She is an enthusiastic geospatial data scientist with over 3 years of working experience and 2 years of research experience in geospatial field eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. She also has clear understanding of remote sensing, sensor fusion, machine learning and deep learning algorithms and earth observation processes in Google Earth Engine (GEE). Nyein has a passion to excel big geospatial data for applied earth science research area. She has been involved in a wide variety of services such as flood mapping, land use land cover analysis, crop mapping, development of forest alert monitoring model and disaster management tools, etc.
